Places

we

Buy From

Campmor

Campor is an excellent place to check out the variety of brands and products.  They had a large line of their own brand years ago, but it looks like they have decreased the amount of their own stuff they sell.  Check out the DEALS page!

Amazon

Ahh..amazon the great!  Who doesn't love the ease of searching, sifting through, reading many reviews of products, free shipping (for Prime Members--we are!), easy and free returns, etc.  Great source!

Sierra Trading Post

Another great resource.  Nice prices, lots of gear!

Walmart

I admit, I really do like shopping at Walmart.  We have bought many camping/hiking/backpacking products at Walmart.  The Ozark brand has proven to be a very good quality  (we are not hiking Mt. Everest, for pete's sake).

Ebay

So for those items that you do not need to be in tip top shape (hiking pants, fleece, hiking shorts), buying a great brand, high-quality product that has been gently used is AWESOME!  Bryan often gets Patagonia clothing going this route.  For items you want ultimate performance from (rain gear, tent, sleeping bag) you may want to steer away from this resource.
